Abstract: A fast and simple method for high performance liquid chromatographic (HPLC) determination of the nabam and zineb was developed using a Hypersil® strong anion exchanger (SAX) as column parking material. The SAX system uses quaternary ammonium NR4+ as the active ion exchange site. The column was used for the simultaneous purification and determination of the EBDC2- ion. The method involves the direct injection of 20£gl EBDC dissolved in 0.01 M NaOH containing 0.1% EDTA into the HPLC for analysis. The mobile phase consisted of a mixture of 0.03 M of NaClO4 and 0.01 M of NaH2PO4 (pH 3.5); the UV detector wavelength was set at 284 nm.
